What About Your Friends? (Day 3 of 30)
The Day 3 Blog Challenge is to post a picture of my friends - unfortunately, I do not have one that captures them all.
Maybe if I was younger I would have a picture encompassing all my closest friends, but when you’ve lived, traveled, relocated and been as extroverted as I have – the collection of friends are vast and scattered. Therefore my friends are in categories – not by importance, but by life eras. I always say that I feel I’ve lived a few lifetimes so far and each installment of my existence has been blessed with a handful of people who helped me navigate through the hype and stay real.
In the age of social media, we use the term “friend” very, VERY loosely. While I am fortunate to be cool with literally hundreds of people, my inner circle remains small. That’s the way it should be as you can only connect to so many people on a regular basis. Factor in marriage, kids and work and that “regular basis” timeline gets even smaller.
We may not talk everyday or hang out once a month, but one thing about my friends is that we ride hard for each other. No picture could ever capture that.
