Doing It

It's been two weeks since my last post. What can I say? I've been busy. On top of family and work, I've talked to more insurance agents, adjusters, auto mechanics, FEMA reps, electric company contractors, cable line technicians and water company workers than I ever care to talk with again. Things are coming back to normal slowly but surely; however, I don't anticipate a true level of comfort until the end of the year.

I haven't recorded a new favecast since August - I have been redirecting visitors to earlier episodes in the interim. I have managed to produce a few "Behind the Groove" podcast interviews for the good people at Soulbounce. Be sure to check them out.

In addition to tackling my EP (originally slated for the end of this month - now TBD), I plan to participate in NaNoWriMo and crank out another novel in 30 days during the month of November. With that being said, the FFC will not return until it's second anniversary in December.

I've been playing the keyboard and singing with a local band, Indie Gruv. This has been a therapeutic experience for me in that our alliance was birthed out of MySpace (of all places) and it is the only outlet I have in Houston that is just connected to me (and not some byproduct of my wife's friends and family). We will be playing for a Hurricane Ike benefit on 10/25. Will keep you posted.

That's it for now. Until next time...

I am so grateful and proud to have you as my husband...thank you for all that you've done, you do and things to come. I'm happy that you have found that musical outlet that you love with Indie Gruv...you rock and I love you.
